HKIRA x Tangelo Software Webinar – "ESG Reporting for IR Managers with CLP and Shenzhou International Case Study"


Across industries and around the world, modern companies will be instrumental in shaping a more sustainable future through conscious business practices and transparent reporting. In this webinar, Mr. Erwin Groenendal, Co-founder and product evangelist at Tangelo Software will first outline the must-know ESG terms for Investor Relations managers—explaining what they mean and why they matter in modern corporate reporting. After that Mr.Groenendalwill sit down with Mr. Hendrik Rosenthal, Director of Group Sustainability at CLP Holdings Limited, to discuss CLP's new and bold approach to reporting on ESG topics in their 2021 annual reporting suite and how sustainability fits into the Investor Relations function. Lastly, Mr. Kenji Chan, Financial Controller & Company Secretary at Shenzhou International Group Holdings Limited, will discuss which sustainability reporting stage Shenzhou International is at, he will also shed light on the role of the Finance department in gathering and managing ESG metrics, preparing sustainability statements, and the future assurance requirements.

Mr. Erwin Groenendal

Erwin founded Tangelo Software with the mission: to make life easier with a better way to produce corporate reports in-house. Erwin is a recognized thought leader in the investor relations (IR) space—frequently presenting and sharing original research on digital IR practices at conferences and events across the globe.



Mr. Hendrik Rosenthal

Director - Group Sustainability, CLP Holdings Limited


Hendrik is responsible for the Group's sustainability-related strategy, reporting and communications. He supports the senior management in sustainability and climate change-related risk management and advises on sustainability matters of the Group's power business in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

With 20 years of experience in environmental management across the public, private and NGO sectors, Hendrik previously led research and consulting projects in Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore.

 

He began his career in natural resource management and environmental policy, through various positions at Canadian government agencies in environment and development. After moving to Hong Kong in 2008, Hendrik promoted sustainability practices via private sector projects and through policy engagement for industry associations. Prior to joining CLP, he was a senior manager of applied sustainability in Singapore working for a multinational company.

 

Mr. Kenji Chan

Financial Controller & Company Secretary

Shenzhou International Group Holdings Limited


Mr. CHAN Tak Hing, Kenji（陳德興）, joined the Shenzhou International Group in September 2008. He is currently the Financial Controller and Company Secretary of the Group. Mr. Chan has over 25 years of experience in auditing, financial controlling, company secretarial and accounting. Mr. Chan holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Master Degree of Science Degree in China Business Management. Mr. Chan is also a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Certified Tax Adviser in Hong Kong, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a fellow member of the The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
