Executive Certificate in Interpretation of Financial Statements
HKIRA is now launching a series of certificate courses developed and taught by senior IR practitioners with over 10 years of work experience in listed companies. Our Executive Certificate in Interpretation of Financial Statements is designed to provide knowledge and hands on experience sharing of the key aspect of communicating to shareholders and the capital market.
The certificate is a series of three courses highlighting the key aspects of preparing and interpreting financial statements from the viewpoint of IROs, CFOs and Investors.
Course attendees will be able to gain a better understanding on the dynamics of the financial statement figures, technical knowledge in key accounting rules and insights on responding to questions regarding financial statements upon completion of all three courses offered by the certificate.
Course 1: Interpreting financial statements for IR professionals
The course will share viewpoints on the following topics:
- The accounting formula
- Key elements on financial statements and their underlying implications
- Key accounting assumptions, judgements and estimates that an IRO must understand
- Key accounting rules that an IRO must know
- Case illustrations and discussions
Course materials will be provided in English. Chinese course materials will be made upon request for corporate or board trainings.
