Mr Chan was appointed the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury on 16 August 2017.


Mr Chan has many years of senior executive experience in the banking industry. He was a Managing Director in the Global Markets Division of Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, and was a Managing Director in Financial Markets of Standard Chartered Bank.


Prior to joining the Government, Mr Chan held multiple roles in a number of public and professional bodies, including Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, Director of Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute, Advisor of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, as well as a General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr Chan was also a member of the Central & Western District Council.


Mr Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hon) and Psychology from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dr. Eva Chan

Dr. Chan is the Head of Investor Relations of C C Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 1224). She has more than 25 years of experience and was the senior management of various listed companies in Hong Kong. She is mainly responsible for formulating the IR strategies for the company and conducting meetings with investors and fund managers all over the world. She also leads in a number of corporate finance exercises and corporate restructuring activities.


Dr. Chan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capital Environment Holdings Limited (stock code: 3989) and Xtep International Holdings Limited (stock code: 1368) and is appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Adjunct Professor of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.


Dr. Chan graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. She then received her MBA degree from the University of Nottingham. She also obtained a DBA degree from the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. She is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association, a fellow member of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute, a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Jon Edwards

Head of APAC - Primary Markets

London Stock Exchange Group 


As head of the APAC region for primary markets at LSEG, Mr Edwards is responsible for developing the London Stock Exchange's business in the region, spending a majority of his time working with companies, advisors and regulators interested in London Stock Exchange Group's markets. Jon, who is based in Beijing, and his teams in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore work to promote both Main Market and AIM listings and help companies to increase their profile among London's investment community. Prior to taking up his post, Jon was responsible for business development activities in Russia, CIS & Asia Pacific.


Mr Edwards studied at Columbia University where he received his BA degree in Russian studies and joint JD/MBA degree in business and law. He joined the London Stock Exchange in August 2003, before which he worked on private equity transactions for Incepta Ventures UK Limited, Delta Capital and BNP-Invest. Mr Edwards has over 25 years of experience working with international companies in the natural resources, consumer products, real estate and TMT sectors.  

Frankie Lam

Frankie Lam leads S&P Global's Capital Surveillance and Investor Targeting business, based in Hong Kong. He leads the team of market intelligence analysts providing insights and explanations for shareholder/investor movements to C-suite and investor relations professionals. He has over 20 years' experience in capital market with firms such as Refinitiv and Moody's Analytics. 


Frankie graduated from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign and has a Master of Finance from the City University of Hong Kong.

Mark Loehr

Mark is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the financial sector. Mark's vision for OpenExchange is driven by his ability to see where traditional financial services are enhanced by technological advancements. He was previously CEO of Soundview Technology Group and, through its acquisition of Soundview, an EVP of Charles Schwab Corp. Before Soundview, Mark was the head of investment banking of the firm's predecessor, Wit Capital, the first online investment bank, known for pioneering innovation to the distribution of IPOs. Earlier in his career, he was with Smith Barney, and was president of Smith Barney Pacific, head of global equity sales and head of equity capital markets. Mark currently serves on the board of Proctor Academy. He earned his BA in economics from Cornell University.

Jason Paltrowitz

In his dual role as Director, OTC Markets Group International Ltd. and EVP, Corporate Services, Jason Paltrowitz manages the company's international and domestic Corporate Services business, supporting more than 1,200 companies that trade on the premium OTCQX and OTCQB Markets. Leveraging his background in financial services and expertise in cross-border trading, Jason spearheads sales initiatives and alliances to provide issuers with efficient alternatives to raise capital, access U.S. investors, and help small-cap companies alleviate the cost and complexity associated with being a public company.  

 

Prior to joining OTC Markets Group in October 2013, Jason was Managing Director and Segment Head at JP Morgan Chase responsible for the custody, clearing and collateral management business in the Corporate and Investment Bank division. Jason also held multiple senior management positions at BNY Mellon, most notably, as Head of M&A for the Financial Markets and Treasury Services Sector and 11 years as the Head of the Global Capital Markets Group in the Depositary Receipt Division.  

 

Jason served on the Board of Directors of the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) from 2017 - 2020. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors at OTC Markets Group from 2008 - 2011. Jason holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Boston University and received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. 

Melody Tong

Ms. Melody Tong is the General Manager of the Hong Kong and Shenzhen branches, Director of the Sustainability Department, and Head of Sustainable Finance and Investment Business at CECEP Environmental Consulting Group Ltd. (CECEPEC). She is mainly responsible for sustainable development management consulting, sustainable investment and financing consulting, and climate change-related consulting. She is also a certified professional of LEED AP (BD+C)​ and a BEAM Affiliate. She has received an Environmental Officer Course Certificate from the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council (CIC).

 

Ms. Tong has more than eight years of experience in the field of environment and sustainable development. She is knowledgeable about domestic and foreign sustainable development trends and has provided sustainable development consulting services to over 50 listed companies or large institutions in various industries. Ms. Tong has also assisted the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in conducting ESG policy research, participated in research projects of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and published academic papers as the second author. Currently, Ms. Tong is also the Head of Sustainable Investment and Financing Business, providing sustainable investment and financing consulting services in the Greater China region and external evaluation of overseas sustainable financing.

Tammy Tian

Ms. Tammy Tian is currently the Vice President of Futu I&E. She is a seasoned professional with around 10 years of experience in investor relations. Before joining Futu I&E, Tammy worked as a Senior IRM in Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU; HKEX: 9888), a leading AI company with a strong Internet foundation, and 58.com (WUBA), the China-based classifieds giant, was taken private from the NYSE in 2020.

 

She worked as Project Manager to assist in planning and implementing effective strategies and programs for secondary listing for Baidu and delisting of 58.com. Prior professional experience in consulting and accounting in A Fortune 500 company.

 

Tammy was a graduate from The University of Warwick and has been a Chartered Certified Accountant since 2017.

Ben Wong

Mr. Wong is responsible and oversees teams in investor relations, merger and acquisitions and sustainability of NWS Holdings Limited. He has over 14 years of experience in investments, corporate finance, investment banking and corporate development.

Prior to joining NWS Holdings Limited, Ben has held senior positions in family office, private equity fund responsible for fund raising, investments and investment management. He also held positions in various financial institutions such as HSBC and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Alvin Yap
