Purdy obtained her Bachelor's, Master's and MBA degrees, all from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She started her early career in artificial intelligence research. After obtaining her MBA, she worked as an equity research analyst at Nomura Securities in New York. Purdy moved to Shanghai in 2016 and joined TF Securities as the Head of Overseas Research. Currently, Purdy is the Head of Global Thematic Strategy at Citic Securities.


Purdy came second in the New Fortune Best Analyst Award in Overseas Coverage for three consecutive years in 2017-2019. In 2019 she ranked second in the Institutional Investors Gaming Sector (Mainland China), and claimed the Best Analyst for Casinos and Gaming (Hong Kong) in Asiamoney 2021.

Louis leads the Asia Pacific macro team and its research. He contributes to S&P Global Ratings' macro-credit narrative and represents the firm in events, conferences and the media, delivering its insights and thought leadership to the marketplace.


Before joining S&P Global Ratings in 2022, Louis held senior positions in both the public and private sectors, including at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC, the World Bank in Beijing, and at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Oxford Economics in Hong Kong. While with the World Bank, he led the China Quarterly Update, headed the Bank's mid-term review of China's 11th Five Year Plan and led research on China's saving and investment, rebalancing, and long-term growth and structural change.

Mr. Lam founded VLAM in 2009 and has been managing a long/short equity fund as well as some discretionary portfolios for accredited investors since then. In August 2015, VLAM launched VL China Fund, a China-themed equity fund authorized by the Hong Kong SFC. Prior to setting up VLAM, Vincent has worked as director for Quam Asset Management and later managing director of Ramius Asia accumulating more than 20 years of experience in financial analysis, investment research and portfolio management and consolidating his value investing approach to identify brilliant investment opportunities for investors in the middle to longer term.

M. John C. LEE

Vice Chairman, Managing Director, Head of Greater China, Global Banking,

John C. Lee is Vice Chairman and Head of Greater China, Global Banking for UBS AG. Mr. Lee joined UBS AG in March 2017 and is currently responsible for senior client coverage and origination efforts for M&A and equity and debt capital markets in the Greater China region. He has over 25 years of investment banking experience with transactions across Asia in a wide range of product areas. Prior to joining UBS AG, John worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 20 years from 1996-2016 as Vice Chairman of Asia Coverage and Head of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau coverage and at Bear Stearns Asia Limited for 2 years from 1994-1996. Mr. Lee is a Council Member of The Better Hong Kong Foundation, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong-Mainland International Investment Society and Council Member for Advisory Council on Career Development for The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.


John holds a BBA degree from Southern Methodist University in the U.S., with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate.

Mr. Samson Lee

Managing Director, Head of Financial Products Division, BOC International


Mr. Samson Lee joined BOC International in 2007, and now serves as Managing Director/Head of Financial Products Division, managing Fixed Income Debt Capital Markets and Structured Products businesses. Before joining BOCI, he worked with HSBC, Bank of America, and Standard Chartered, and ran various businesses in credit products, structured financing, M&A and client coverage. He has over 20 years of extensive banking experience, covering a broad group of clients and products across Asia. Since he joined BOCI, Samson has been instrumental in building the PRC/HK onshore and offshore fundraisings for both PRC and non-PRC companies, leveraging on the platforms of BOCI, and with good successes. He has built his team to become a leading one in BOCI's markets. His DCM team is consistently ranked very top in the relevant leagues tables and won a number of awards, including Best DCM house awards and various deal awards; and his Structured Products is also one of the most active teams in the market and issues multi-billion dollars of structured products every year.  Samson is a CFA Charterholder. He graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with an MBA degree.
