Dr. Chan is the Head of Investor Relations of C C Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 1224). She has more than 25 years of experience and was the CFOs and company secretaries of various listed companies in Hong Kong. She is mainly responsible for formulating the IR strategies for the company and conducting meetings with investors and fund managers all over the world. She also leads a number of corporate finance exercises and corporate restructuring activities.

 

Dr. Chan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capital Environment Holdings Limited (stock code: 3989) and is appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Highlights include implementation of the China Stock Connect, re-engineering key processes in the Central Clearing and Settlement System and leading the discussion on the Uncertificated Securities Market (USM) operation model.


Catharine has over 20 years of experience and has held various operations, client relations and

business management positions in major international banks. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce

from the University of New South Wales, Australia, a Master's degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie

Professor of Practice Jack Poon

Mr. Jack Poon is a Professor of Practice at the School of Accounting and Finance in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) since 2018.  He taught graduate classes in blockchain, fintech, and entrepreneurial finance.  His research interests cover new tech and new economy companies and their IPO listing in Hong Kong, the US, and the STAR market; digital assets such as cryptocurrency, decentralized finance, and NFT; and fintech applications using artificial intelligence.  He obtained three master's degrees from the Chicago Booth School of Business with high honor in Business Administration, the Stanford University in Engineering Management, and the California Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering. He also obtained his bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of Washington in Electrical Engineering.  

 

Jack is a Fintech enthusiast, serial entrepreneur, startup advisor, and Silicon Valley veteran. He started his career with Intel during the period where legendary leaders such as Andy Grove and Gordon Moore are at the helm. He played various key roles in the development of the 80486™and the Pentium™ microprocessor projects and in the software architecture design of deep sub-micron electronic design automation. While in Asia, he had served as Head of Corporate Finance for a US-listed company, Head of Infrastructure Investment for the Asia Pacific and the Indian subcontinent for a European company, and Head of Technology Services for a US technology company. Furthermore, Jack was involved with multiple startups, at an early stage, which one was listed in Nasdaq and others were affiliated with TechStars Startup Accelerator and Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab. 


In addition to his teaching role at PolyU, Mr. Poon frequently engages as strategic advisors for startups in areas related to artificial intelligence, blockchain, fintech, shared economy, tech media and sometimes serves as a strategic consultant with various financial services organizations and regulators.  He is a co-opted member of the Advisory Group on Digital Economy and Information Technology of Hong Kong Consumer Council and a member of the Fintech Advisory Group for Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. 

Mr. Claudius Tsang

Mr. Claudius Tsang has over 20 years of experience in capital markets, with a strong track record of success in private equity, M&A transactions and PIPE investments with a focus on Greater China and other emerging markets. 


Mr. Tsang was co-head of private equity, North Asia of Templeton Asset Management Ltd and a partner of Templeton Private Equity Partners, a leading global emerging markets private equity firm that is part of Franklin Templeton Investments. During his 15 year career at Templeton, 


Mr. Tsang served in various positions, including partner, senior executive director and vice president. 

Mr. Tsang was responsible for the overall investment, management and operation activities of Templeton Private Equity Partners in North Asia. 

His role encompassed overseeing the analysis and evaluation of opportunities for strategic equity investment in Asia, including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. During his tenure, Mr. Tsang managed $1 billion in private equity funds, with approximately 50 portfolio companies. He was involved in the management of a $3 billion fund, which was the largest Central Eastern European listed closed-end fund at the time of IPO in London. 


From July 2007 to June 2008, Mr. Tsang joined Lehman Brothers, where he managed private equity projects in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and the United States. At Lehman Brothers, Mr. Tsang managed $500 million proprietary funds. Since March 2021, Mr. Tsang has served as the CEO and Chairman of Model Performance Acquisition Corp. Mr. Tsang has served as a director of the CFA Society of Hong Kong from 2013 to 2021. 


Mr. Tsang obtained his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2017, the second Bachelor degree of Law from Tsinghua University in 2005 and a Bachelor degree of Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998. He is a charterholder of Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.

John C. Lee is Vice Chairman and Head of Greater China, Global Banking for UBS AG. Mr. Lee joined UBS AG in March 2017 and is currently responsible for senior client coverage and origination efforts for M&A and equity and debt capital markets origination efforts in the Greater China region. He has over 25 years of investment banking experience with transactions across Asia in a wide range of product areas. Prior to joining UBS AG, John worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 20 years from 1996-2016 as Vice Chairman of Asia Coverage and Head of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau coverage and at Bear Stearns Asia Limited for 2 years from 1994-1996. Mr. Ken Poon is an experienced capital markets banker in Asia having advised on many iconic companies in their IPOs, Equity, and Acquisition related financings spanning the last 30 years. Mr. Poon is the Founding Partner of XCap Partners, a boutique advisory platform based in Hong Kong. 


In June 2021, Mr. Poon and his partners sponsored and listed Summit Healthcare Acquisition Corp. on the Nasdaq stock exchange raising US$200 million plus a US$30 million Forward Purchase Agreement (stock code: SMIH). Bank of America was the Bookrunner for the Summit Healthcare SPAC. 


Prior to founding XCap Partners Limited and Summit Healthcare Acquisition Corp, Mr. Poon was the Asia Pacific Head of Capital Markets Origination for Citigroup where he ran the Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Acquisition Finance businesses for all Asia ex-Japan. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Poon was a senior ECM banker at Merrill Lynch, Jardine Fleming and UBS.

Before joining OpenExchange, Jackson worked as the Head of Investor Relations for a leading financial PR company in Hong Kong providing IR advisory and buy/sell-side access for listed companies in Hong Kong/China. Prior to that, he spent 14 years in Corporate Access and worked in various locations in Asia including Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. Having been the Head of Hong Kong & ASEAN Corporate Access at Morgan Stanley and the Head of Asia Corporate Access at Jefferies, Jackson focused on spearheading the curation and execution of Corporate Access events in the region, as well as facilitating meetings between corporate issuers and institutional investors.

Mr. Stephen Law

Stephen Law is currently the Managing Director of ANS Capital Limited, with a focus on investment and corporate finance. He was previously the CFO of MTR Corporation Ltd (HK: 0066) responsible for finance, investment control, treasury, investor relations, information technology and materials & stores.

 

Prior to MTR, Stephen was a managing director of TPG, one of the world's largest private equity firms. He was responsible for private equity investments in Asia. He was a founding member of the TPG Growth Asia team, leading key deals across different industries including consumer /retail, energy, healthcare. He also executed many successful IPOs in HK, US and Vietnam, and led the exits from his investment portfolio. 

 

Prior to joining TPG in July 2006, Stephen Law was a director of Morningside, where he was responsible for a portfolio of venture capital investments. Under his management and directorships, these investee companies became leaders in their respective industries in the region. Stephen served as a director of the top three online game operator in China. He was the Chief Financial Officer of the second biggest outdoor advertising operator in China and he led its later sale to JC Decaux. Stephen was a founding director of an advertising agency which was subsequently merged with WPP Group. Stephen also founded and consolidated the Communication Central Group, the largest independent interactive marketing agency in China, which was sold to Publicis.

 

Prior to Morningside, Stephen focused on corporate finance and development for the Wheelock and Wharf Groups. He developed brewery business in China together with Foster's. He initiated the launch of broadband business resulting in a multi-revenue model, and led the dual listing of i-Cable Communications Limited in Hong Kong and the United States. Prior to working for Wheelock, Stephen served as regional financial controller for multinationals.


Stephen started his career with Arthur Andersen in the United Kingdom. Stephen is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong. He is currently a board member of the Hong Kong Business Accountants Association and was a Council member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was an Adjunct Professor of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has also been appointed by the Ministry of Finance in China as an expert consultant to provide advice on finance and management accounting. He is a board member of SOW Asia, a charitable foundation which supports social enterprises through financial investments and accelerator program.

Victoria Mio is the Director of Asian Equities at Fidelity International and leads the equity research teams based in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Singapore. She plays a key role in facilitating collaboration across regions and asset classes, executing on Fidelity's ESG initiatives and China strategy, as well as coaching and mentoring the investment team members. She is based in Hong Kong.


Victoria is a seasoned financial service executive with over two decades of experience in mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity and commercial banking. Prior to joining Fidelity in 2020, Victoria was the co-Head of Asia Pacific Equities and China CIO at Robeco. She was the lead Portfolio Manager of the Robeco Chinese Equities Fund for 13 years and also spent two years in the Netherlands as a portfolio manager in the Emerging Markets team. Throughout her career Victoria held various senior positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co, Asterion Capital LLC, and Banco Nacional Ultramarino SA in China and the US. Victoria holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macau.
