Preamble

  1. The Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (HKIRA or the Association) is an international professional body committed to develop and adopt the best practices in investor relations (IR), thereby advancing the status and integrity of the IR professional and proficiency of its members and striving to enhance the relationship between listed companies and the investment community.
  2. The Association engaged by international corporates and IR professionals who have the strategic management responsibility to integrate finance, communication, marketing and securities compliances and to achieve the most effective communication platform between a public company and the investment community.
  3. It serves as a platform to enrich the profile of the profession, enhance ethical and professional standards in IR, promote professional development and networking for all members.

Membership Type & Fee


1. Full Member

The applicant must be executive who is employed by listed companies and whose duties involved investor relations or investor communications related roles.


A Full Member is entitled to voting rights.


2. Supporting Member

The applicant is an executive who work in companies that provide a product or service to listed companies. Supporting member does not have voting rights.


3. Associate Member

The applicant is an individual who is not eligible to join under either the full or supporting member categories but is interested in the investor relations profession, including students, are eligible to join as associate members.

An Associate Member does not have voting rights.


4. Corporate Member (Listed Company)

Listed companies may join as Corporate Members. They can nominate their individual employee as a registered person. Nominated individual applicant who is qualified as Full Member status has voting right.


5. Corporate Member (Service Provider)

Companies which provide products or services to investor relations practitioners may join as Corporate Members. They can nominate their individual employee as a registered person.



The Executive Committee shall have absolute discretion in respect of each application to decide conclusively whether he/she has fulfilled the conditions applicable to his/ her case or not. The decision of the Executive Committee is final and shall not be subject to any appeal.
